Open End Spinning Defined
A spinning system in which sliver feedstock is highly drafted and thus creates an open end or break in the fibre flow. The fibres are subsequently assembled on the end of a rotating yarn and twisted in. Techniques for collecting and twisting the fibres into a yarn include rotor spinning and friction spinning.

Built in 1922 as the Park Theater, the structure was recast as the First National Bank from 1959 to 1995. Ed Fine, a Meadville resident since 1975, brought the vacant building back to life nine years later in his own effort to revitalize the downtown he remembered.
